| My personality: |
I live a simple contemplative life. My daughter has left home so
it's just me, my old dog and my cat. My favorite part of my week is
the time I spend at Church with my Christian family listening to
the Word of God and praising Him. I have a few close friends and I
try to nuture those frienships and be a faithful friend. I love to
cook up a storm and thankfully I have friends who love to eat. I'm
built for comfort and not for speed and my idea of heaven on earth
is a rainy day with good food, good friends and something schmaltzy
on television. B grade movies are my favorite - the type you see on
television at midday. I try to follow world events and politics. My
idea of an ideal holiday would be a good hotel with everthing laid
on. I work hard and it would be nice to be spoiled every now and
then. I am a very strong person who has faced a lot of adversity in
life and so I am courageous when it comes to life's challenges. I
am also patient and I know how to wait for the things I want. It is
important to me that I grow in character and in faith daily and I
pray for a man who feels the same way. Even with all the problems
in the world today I still see it as a beautiful place and would
dearly love to see more of it someday. I would like to se Australia
in a fully decked out campervan, Europe in good hotels and a hire
car and Asia?- there I am open to ideas. While I am alone I am not
lonely but I have decided that it is time I went looking for a
companion - someone to walk towards the future with as I know that
two can achieve so much more than one and it would be nice to have
someone to share the good things in life with. |

My ideal partner would need to be first and foremost a practising
Christian who understands all that entails in a relationship. He
would need to share my love of peace and quiet and respect the fact
that I need a lot of time alone. I am looking for a man who can be
independent - who doesn't need me to tell him where his socks are
but who is also capable of healthy intimacy within relationship. As
a Christian woman I am looking for a man who can lead a family but
I will not accept being dominated by a man's unhealthy ego and need
for control. The man I marry will be upright and strong. Looks
don't matter but the "big gentle bear" type does appeal to me. He
must be able to put family before work although I understand that
sacrifices must be made to become successful and I would be willing
to work in with that. Most of all my ideal man would be honest - no
relationship is possible for me once I discover that a person is
not truthful and open in their personal dealings. I am not looking
for an angel but someone working towards that goal would be great!
Only kidding - my values are simple and down to earth and I am
